Measure from the cooking surface
A height quoted from the floor cannot describe every kitchen: range height, cookware and wall conditions differ. Start from the finished cooking surface and identify the tallest pot you expect to fill. Include the clearance needed to position the outlet comfortably above that pot. The product drawing and appliance instructions must be considered together.
Check where the arms travel
An outlet that clears one pot at full extension may still conflict with a shelf, hood or adjacent cabinet during movement. Check the whole folding path and both open and stored positions. Handles also need room for a comfortable grip. A front-view photograph cannot show every point of interference.
Account for the range and wall
Confirm the appliance manufacturer's requirements and the local installation constraints with your installer. Assess the wall connection, support and finished-wall build-up before choosing the final position. Do not drill or rough in based only on an inspiration photograph or a general online height chart.
Make a cookware-based mock-up
Use a paper outline or simple layout sketch to compare the proposed outlet with several pots on the actual burners. Check the largest and smallest cookware you regularly use. The goal is useful coverage and safe operation, not the maximum possible reach. Keep the confirmed layout with the selected product drawing.
